Visiting Scholars

Scholars enjoy a moment with the Chancellor and other staff.

ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé welcomes visiting scholars from around the world. As America’s International University, we are committed to expanding the frontiers of knowledge among the global community of scholars. Our goal is to create life-long relationships with scholars that continue beyond a scholar’s visit to the United States. We hope that successful scholars will consider ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé as their second academic home.

While here at ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé, visiting scholars will collaborate with a colleague in their own field. Twice per year, we hold a Symposium on International Research in Progress. This offers an opportunity for visiting scholars and their mentors to report on their work to the University community. Our visiting scholars participate in a wide variety of other academic endeavors including guest lectures in classes, assisting in laboratory work, and appropriate clinical site visits.

Our visiting scholars have many opportunities to experience the rich cultural heritage of America. In addition to many opportunities to visit the major cities and cultural sites around the country, they also become part of the local community. Scholars tour local historical sites, participate in the city festivals, and become part of civic organizations.

Visiting scholars to ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé will have a life-changing experience; one that both advances their career and makes them part of the ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé family of global scholars.

Selection of the Applicant

ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé will review your application and determine if your interests are closely related to our programs and/or faculty and that we are able to accommodate your academic goals. Prior to a formal invitation, ÎÞÂë¾ÞÈé will arrange a SKYPE interview between you, a faculty member of your academic area, and the Visiting Scholar Coordinator to determine adequate English proficiency.
